Condition Guide

Aemcy Condition Guide

Every piece has lived a life before reaching you, so we describe its condition as honestly as we can. Each listing comes with a grade and a note on anything specific we noticed.

Grade What it means What you might notice
Never Worn A piece that was never worn, with or without its original tags. Nothing, apart from possible light traces of storage.
Very Good Lightly worn and extremely well looked after. Very little: a faint mark or slight softening you would only see up close.
Good Worn and cared for, with visible but moderate signs of its past. Light pilling, minor fading, a small spot or light scratches on hardware.
Fair Noticeable wear, flaws or repairs. Still wearable, and priced accordingly. Visible marks, fading, pulled threads or a past repair, all shown in the photos.
Distressed Significant damage. A piece for collecting, display, study or restoration more than for everyday wear. Tears, heavy wear, missing parts or fragile fabric, described in full.

Because our pieces are vintage and archive, light signs of age are part of their story. Anything beyond that is always shown in the photos and written in the description.
