Vintage 80s Black Leather Peplum Jacket with Metallic Shawl Collar, IT 44, Women

A rare 1980s statement jacket with a sculptural, almost architectural cut. The real leather is soft and supple, while the oversized shawl collar is worked in silver metallic leather embossed with a croc pattern. Gathered puff shoulders sit above an elasticated peplum waist closed with a leather buckle strap and antique gold filigree accents, and long pointed front flaps fall below the waist. Fully lined in black. A distinctive silhouette that is almost impossible to find today.
