An extraordinary and genuinely rare vintage blazer by Gianni Versace Couture, dating to approximately 1990 to 1997 and most likely the early to mid 1990s, made in Italy. A genuine Gianni-era piece produced while Gianni Versace himself led the house, before his passing in July 1997. Given the Couture designation, intact original hardware and exceptional construction throughout, this is a serious collector’s item with strong provenance.
The blazer is presented in a bold red with a rich equestrian aesthetic. The dark brown suede covered buttons feature gold Medusa head emblems, while brown suede and leather piping trims the pockets and matching brown suede edging frames the collar. The interior is lined with a red silk-like jacquard woven throughout with Medusa and Versace motifs, a signature of the Couture line’s uncompromising construction quality.
