A rare piece of 1990s Iceberg archive. The Italian house, founded in 1974, hired French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac as its first creative director, and in 1979 he introduced pop-art cartoon graphics onto luxury Italian knitwear, building the playful, illustrative identity Iceberg became known for. Though Castelbajac left the role in 1987, the brand continued producing knitwear rooted in his cartoon-centric DNA throughout the 90s, and this drunk bear jumper is a strong example of that legacy. It carries a large textured embroidery of a Soviet-style bear holding a vodka bottle and branded Iceberg can, worked in deep burgundy ribbed wool with dropped shoulders and a relaxed fit true to the era.
