This is a vintage officers coat of the Koninklijke Marine, the Royal Netherlands Navy, dated 1986 on the inside label. It is cut from heavy pure virgin wool in black, and finished with gold anchor buttons down the double-breasted front, on both lapels and on the half belt at the back. The high stand collar closes to the neck for full protection, or opens out into a wide notched collar. Fully lined, with flap pockets and a back vent. A substantial, versatile winter coat with real naval heritage, and a strong, sculptural line that sits easily over tailoring or knitwear.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. No flaws visible. The inner label shows light age discolouration.
